How it Works Behind the Scenes
When a customer shops on your store, a lightweight JavaScript script runs in the background. Every time a customer adds, removes, or updates an item in their cart, EG checks this against your active rules to see if they qualify for a rule.
Automatic Add Actions: If a rule is met, the gift is added directly to the cart without interrupting the customer's checkout flow.
Popup: If you have configured the rule to show a choice of gifts/upsells, a pop-up will appear, allowing the customer to select their preferred reward.
Dynamic Cleanup: If a customer no longer meets the criteria (e.g., they remove an item and their total drops below the threshold), EG automatically removes the gift to ensure promotion accuracy.
Understanding Rules
Rules are the "logic" of your promotions. Every rule consists of two simple components:
The Trigger (The "If"): The condition a customer must meet.
Examples: Buying a specific product, shopping a certain collection, reaching a cart total (e.g., $50+), or having a specific product tag.
The Reward (The "Then"): The specific free gift or product the customer receives once the trigger is activated.

Don’t let your offers go unnoticed. You can create fully customizable banners (e.g., "Spend $10 more to get a free gift!") to nudge customers toward a reward. These can be styled directly within the app to match your brand.
Advanced Customer Targeting
Create exclusive offers by targeting specific customer segments. You can restrict promotions to:
Customer Tags: (e.g., "Wholesale" or "Member")
Order History: (e.g., Customers with more than 3 orders)
Total Spend: (e.g., High-value VIPs)
Automated Gift Tracking
